Thanks for the queries I am getting. Here are a couple I will share with you.

Firstly, Nadia from NSW asks....

<span style="font-family: "book antiqua","serif"">Hi Debra. I really liked your “card tin” that you made as a housewarming gift. I was just wondering if you can give me some more details on the products that you used. I know you said you used “websters pages” papers, but would you be able to tell me which websters pages range it was and any other specific materials that you used? I wanted to make this for someone as well if that’s ok. Thank You very much.

<span style="font-family: "book antiqua","serif"">Hi Nadia, thank you so much for the feedback. The pages I used from the Websters Pages range are A Sweet Life. I love these papers as they are double sided, and a bit different in their designs. I covered the tin in these (be careful not to put it too far up the side or the lid wont close) and then cut out a piece and put it on the side with mounting tape to give the side some dimension. Use some Mod Podge on the tin and put the paper on top of that. Be sure not to have any gaps in the glue or the paper wont stick and you will end up with bubbles. On the other small side of the tin, I punched some brown cardstock with the Fiskars border punch (Threading Water), mounted it and then thread ribbon through each hole. Put a piece of ribbon around the top, covering the edge of the paper and just touching the bottom of the lid. Cover the top of the lid in brown cardstock. Cut it in 2 pieces and try to get as close to the handles as possible, but if you cant it doesnt matter. Cover the lid in flowers (I used Prima) and hide the joins and around the base of the handle with these. I cut some shapes using my Nestabilities dies and used Thickers to write "cards" on the side.Finish off with some ribbons tied around the handle, i added a Tim Holtz Key hanging on a chain. I hope this helps, and good luck with your tin!

<span style="font-family: "book antiqua","serif"">The other query I received was from Danielle who asked about selling second hand albums.

<span style="font-family: "book antiqua","serif"">Danielle, the best way to sell second hand is via ebay. Lots of people are looking for bargains there, so you have a great customer base. If you wanted to give them away, rather than sell them, then try your local school. Schools are always looking for craft items to use and I am sure they could put them to good use.

<span style="font-family: "book antiqua","serif"">til next time,

I will happily cut your kids names as well. Just buy a piece of cardstock from the shop, leave it with the name you would like cut out and for just $2 I will cut a full 12x12 sheet of that name in different fonts. I will fill up any gaps with the first initial.

Today I put up the class schedule for May and June. It contains night classes on Mon, Tues, Wed and Thurs each week at 7pm, plus a Saturday class every 2nd week and day classes on Thursday. Krischelle and Barbara are working hard to get their classes sorted. Book in today!!! Numbers are restricted so book early to avoid disappointment.

Here is one of Krischelle's classes (Transparency Class). The full schedule is available under "Class Schedule" on the left hand menu. Most classes include the basics for completing the class, normally we do not include alphabets for titles on layouts as it's too hard to satisfy everyone's title preferences, but everything else is included -including wooden products as required. You may bring your own alphas, buy on the day or complete the title at home.

Krischelle has a great class on making a card book - just the place to store all your cards, ready to post. Barbara has some fantastic card classes to fill it up! Her interactive cards are very clever and will be sure to impress your family and friends. She also has a class on Renee Dowling's perpetual calendar, as seen in Scrapbooking Memories. Renee displays her work exclusively at The Craft Attic. This calendar will be a family favourite for years to come. And what about something for the kids? The Money Box class is ideal.

We have had so many enquiries for night classes, now they are here we hope you support them.

til next itme

Yesterday I picked up some new products from Scrapware, they have different chipboard products, including tiny little birds and BIG birds like those used on this card.

My cardmaking frenzy continues, here is another one...simple and quick to make.

This card took much longer to make, but I am very happy with the results. This one will be included in a class shortly.

In our first installment of Ask Debra, Margaret from Toowoomba asks...
"I have a set of clear stamps but outlines of the images are not included. I am worried I may lose one without realising its gone. What can i do?"

Great question Margaret. The solution to this problem is easy. Simply take your stazon ink and ink up all the stamps in the set without removing them from the acetate. Then, pop the other piece of acetate over the top, turn the stampset over and press down. All the images will now be stamped on the cover sheet so you will never lose a stamp again! If the stamp set comes with a piece of acetate on either side, you can use that, if not, buy a piece of acetate and cut it to size.

Here is a sample of what I have done.

Don't forget to email me with any questions you may have. All the questions will be logged in our Ask Debra section on the top left hand menu for future reference.

Today I picked up some new stock, including Kindy Glitz new Slick. Thinking that the brown slick looked nice, I took off the lid and squeezed....mmmm...no luck. Clever me took it to the kitchen bench (thank goodness this didn't happen over my scrap table), squeezed again harder...and harder and blam!!!! out it came in a big pop....big dollops of it over the bench, the floor and cupboards on the other side. It kinda looked like melted chocolate in big globs everywhere.....lol... I sheepishly got a knife, scraped it up and put what I could back in the bottle. I am sure to love this product, but at the moment its in the shame file!!!! We have it in white, black and brown, if you are game to have a go.

I thought I would share with you this card I made at Friday Night Crop. I used my new cupcake stamps, too gorgeous, and colored them with watercolor pencils and then cut them out and mounted them on the white card then pink. I used some bling, but my favourite part of this card is how I used the Kaiser pearls to reprensent the sprinkles on the cake.

Hi

I am very excited to share with you today a new section on our blog.

is a new service I am offering. I have been a stamper, scrapbooker and papercrafter for over 15 years and a crafter all my life and during this time I have tried hundreds of techniques, tools and products. I am now putting this knowledge to good use to help you out with your craft. If I haven't tried it, then I have probably seen others do it. I love all techniques, from stamping to quilling, scrapbooking to paper tole and more.

If you have a problem, question or query about anything crafty, then.........

.

I have always loved Sassafras Lass papers, but for some reason have never stocked them. I think its because they dont look that good on the web, but IRL they are fab. I just love how they have a different edge on them that can be used so many ways.

Now, on to Sassfrass Lass! Papers coming this week from the following ranges. (samples shown below)

Fawnd of you too -don't you just love this name!

Happy Place - the name says it all.

Anthem- just too cute! I have some photos of my nephew I can just picture going with this.

Sunshine Lollipop - I used this on an off the page item, its beautiful!

I love them all, cant wait to get scrapping with them!

...and don't forget, if you have a problem or a question about anything crafty
>

cheers, Debra
